This toolkit for developing an inclusive tour was compiled using best practices recorded on tour observations and through discussions with more than 150 docents and guides at Mia during a two-year period. In observing guided tours with high levels of engagement, common elements and approaches used by tour facilitators emerged. At Mia, we recognize that becoming a truly inclusive organization is an ongoing journey. This Tour Toolkit provides a starting point in that journey.
