The Department
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts' Media Department was formed in the mid-1970s.
In 1991 the department was restructured and renamed the "Interactive Media
Group" in order to better address the emerging trends in technology and
to fulfill the Institute's goal of increasing visitor effectiveness through
the use of multimedia. Since that time the Institutes' eight person Interactive
Media Group has become an international leader in the development of museum
media applications. This section provides an overview of the team members
and professional accomplishments including access to selected papers and
presentations.
