- Give a weather report. What is the temperature? What
season of the year is it? What kind of day is this? What
sounds do you hear?
- Describe the setting of this scene. (The bear sits
in a
LANDSCAPE.)
Why do you think the artist chose to place the bear in a
wilderness? Is there any evidence of human activity?
(Trees have been cut down; Cream of Wheat wooden crate
a by-product of the lumber industry; lettering on
crate.)
- What is the mood of the scene? How do lines, shapes,
and colors affect the mood of the painting? Where do you
see straight lines? Where do you see curved lines?
Vertical lines? Horizontal lines? A triangle is a very

technology on advertising.
