Family Days

These popular events offer something for everyone in the family, including free studio workshops, demonstrations, storytelling, games, performances and tours. The themes for Family Days are drawn from special exhibitions and from works of art in the permanent collection. Admission and all activities are free!

 

Brushstrokes of Enlightenment

Be enlightened by this Family Day celebrating the special exhibition "The Art of Twentieth-Century Zen: Paintings and Calligraphy by Japanese Masters." Visit the special exhibition and learn about the paintings and calligraphy created by 14 Japanese Zen Masters. See a demonstration of calligraphy. Hear Japanese bamboo flute music and create your own ink painting in a studio art activity. Free.
