Primary Level: Grades K-3 Primary Standard: Direct Science Experience Consider how certain artworks reflect the natural environment of the culture in which they were created; examine both the materials used as well as the images portrayed. Determine which of the unit's artworks illustrate myths that explain the occurrence of a natural phenomenon, and then evaluate these myths in terms of modern scientific knowledge. Write a science myth to explain the occurrence of a natural phenomenon. Research the names of constellations to discover those that are named after mythological figures.
