This story set during the Tang Dynasty in China incorporates details recorded in Chinese writings of the time. In A.D. 742 the Emperor set limits on the size of funerals and number of Earth Spirits allowed for each, as wealthy families were wiped out by the expenses. Written by Jennifer Lack, the story is a about a curious young boy as he watches a funeral procession with his father. The voice is that of Eugene Kim Goldmund.
