Tour Workshops
Expand your tour with slides and/or related classroom or gallery activities.
Tour workshops last about one and 1/2 hours.
Pre-tour materials will be
sent to you after you book the tour. Limited to 30 students. $1 per students.How

Explore the diversity of African geography, peoples, and art by looking
at masks, textiles, and sculpture.
- Art of the Americas
Learn about the importance of storytelling and animals to the art and traditions
of indigenous peoples from North, Central, and South America.
- China (grades 4-6)
Examine the roles nature and tradition play in one of the world's oldest
civilizations by studying and sketching symbols used in Chinese art.
- Egypt
Decipher hieroglyphics on tomb objects to learn about ancient Egyptian culture and beliefs.
CTC Plays into Art
Enhance the experience of attending a Children's Theatre Company play by taking a related tour at the museum. Offered in conjunction with most CTC plays. Call 870-3140 to see if a tour is available for the play you are planning to attend.

New this year! Enhance the experience of attending a Minnesota Orchestra Young People's concert by taking a related tour at the museum. Call 870-3140 to schedule a tour of Imagination, Music, and Art to complement October's concerts or Exploring Art through the Visual Elements to complement January's Exploring the Orchestra concerts.
