The Minneapolis Institute of Arts
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is the most comprehensive fine arts museum in the upper midwest. The permanent collection includes outstanding works in seven curatorial areas with 85,000 objects spanning 4,000 years. General admission is FREE, except to some special exhibitions.

Hours: 12-5 p.m. Sunday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday. The Institute is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and July 4.
